books or movies?

we gotta discuss about books and movies.
i love reading.
(you don't have to tell that again, they already knew that)
okay i'm sorry.

let's get to the point.
here we will be discussing about which version is better.



1. Darren Shan
you know this one?
i've read the complete series of the book and also watch the movie.
the movie is the combination of the first and the second stories of the books.
i highly recommend you to READ the book.
it contains many things you can learn about,
some of them made my cry.
note that?
okay.
and DON'T EVER WATCH THE MOVIE
it will ruin your imagination about the plot and characters.
it ruined mine and my friends.
we were so regret after watching the film.
totally disappointing!
some of the characters are changed.
if you are really curious about the movie,
i suggest you to read them until the very end,
and then you may watch the film.

2. The Picture of Dorian Gray
the book is really imaginative.
good. but not great.
it simply tells you about someone who never seems satisfy with his perfect life.
easy to read,
but i don't like it much because the story is short.
ended too fast.
and about the film.
i have no words.
really.
just don't watch.
one thing i wondered about the film was, was this movie going to tell about the story of dorian gray or was going to show sexual scenery?
too many adult's scene, bad for kids.


3. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory
i love Roald Dahl.
this one is great,
the movie and the book are not too much different.
to those who don't like reading and to those who have a bad imagination better watch the film.
almost same.

4. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows
book is great.
Rowling is great.
the amount of pages are 999.
but they're worth reading.
when i went to the cinema and watched the movie,
i could not stop saying :
HEY!! THAT SCENE WASN'T ON THE BOOK!
HAVE THEY CUT SOME SCENE FROM THE BOOK?!
what else?
although the movie was really great, but some parts of the book were not included.
and some of them had been changed.


5. Pride and Prejudice
both book or the film is perfect.
all scenes of the movie shows exactly the same as in the book.
so do the dialogues.
great.
worth reading and worth watching.
if you don't like reading, you'd better watch the film.
i don't know what does the book look like in Indonesian version.
i read the English version THREE TIMES.
(are you kidding me?)
no.
i read it three times.
the first and the second time, i borrowed the book from my school's library.
and why did i borrowed it twice?
it uses a high level of English (i've checked the level)
and the third time, i download the book from internet.
same,
totally same.
read it again, hahahahaha
and then watch the film!
